We publish to-day a full and authentic list of the killed, wounded and missing of this gallant regiment in the late battle on the Tennessee. We are indebted for it to Col. Marks, who arrived yesterday, and to the courtesy of Adjutant Lingan. Out of 600 men the loss will be seen to amount to 170—a ratio of over 28 per cent. This heavy loss is accounted for, as we hear, by the fact that the regiment was ordered to take a battery, which was hidden from them by tents. After charging through the camp they found themselves still some two or three hundred yards from the battery, supported by three rifle regiments. The regiment therefore had to fall back and take another route, but in the meantime lost a great many. On the next charge they were partially supported by another regiment and took the battery. The enemy fled before the bayonets reached them.
