Uriel J. Streeter of Vernon, of Company E, 20th Mass. Volunteers, received a ball in the right arm, above the elbow, near the close the day at the Ball’s Bluff fight, when he swam the Potomac under fire from the rebels, without further damage.—The valor displayed by the whole regiment of which young Streeter was a member, has commanded the admiration of all military men and Mr. S. says, that Gen. Scott himself made them a visit after the engagement, and remarked that the 15th and 20th Mass. Regiments should not be called upon to go into battle again, until circumstances should require it in a general engagement or from an attack by the enemy. Geo.
