August 28, 1861 – Invasion of Kentucky by Tennesseans

We understand that some two hundred Tennesseans have invaded Kentucky. They passed through Danville a few days since en route for Camp Dick Robinson in Garrard county. Kentucky having been invaded by Tennesseans, it becomes our duty as citizens to rise as one man and drive the ruthless invaders from our soil.—Louisville Courier, August 23:

The parties alluded to are some foolish “Union” men, who think more of Lincoln than they do of their own State.
