Gov. Moore having donated the materials for making several thousand suits of clothes for our volunteers, the idea has been suggested that the patriotic ladies of our city would, if the opportunity were offered, willingly lend their aid in making them up. Acting upon this suggestion, Messrs. A. B. James, No. 37 Magazine street, and M. E. J. Kurshedt, No. 114 Camp street, have requested us to call attention to the matter, and inform the ladies that if they are willing to thus serve their country, they can get the goods by calling at either of the above places. We know that this invitation will be accepted, and that were there goods enough furnished to clothe our whole army, our patriotic ladies would make them up, or work their fingers to the bone.
