Flag of the Confederate States

Montgomery, March 4.—A flag has been unanimously adopted. The upper and lower sections are red, and the middle white, with blue union, containing a circle of seven stars, the union reaching down to the lower red.

Hon. S. R. Mallory, of Florida, has been confirmed as Secretary of the Navy.

All the members of the Cabinet have been invited to seats on the floor of Congress.
