August 24, 1861 – The Southern Rebellion and the War for the Union

This is a large octavo of 32 pages in pamphlet form, published in weekly pans. Its object is to give a correct, connected, and complete history of the Rebellion, in such shape that it can be bound in a handsome volume, and preserved as a faithful record of the present times. The first number contains a sketch of the conspiracies and insurrections that have taken place in the United Slates, and gives promise of being a very desirable and highly useful publication. We recommend it lo every one wishing a History of the rise and progress of the most gigantic Rebellion the world has ever witnessed. James D. Toney, New-York, Publisher. Price, 10 cents a number.
