A Canadian paper says—”Admiral Milne has now assembled at Halifax the largest and finest squadron that has ever been seen in American waters. On the arrival of additional vessels on their way, some of which bring Armstrong guns and ammunition for these ships which are not yet furnished with them, the squadron will put to sea, and attend to the Southern blockade. Admiral Milne is just the man for the occasion—cool, determined, and not afraid of responsibility; a thorough old sea dog, who knows his duty, and will do it thoroughly. If he finds the blockade inefficient, he will make short work of it.
