July 24, 1861 – Coffee Secured

We received a letter, some days ago, from the vicinity of Norfolk, giving an account of the departure of an expedition to secure a cargo of coffee in a wrecked vessel on the North Carolina coast, which the Lincolnites were said to be watching. We deemed it prudent to suppress the information; but now learn that the cargo, consisting of some 4,400 bags, was secured without difficulty. A portion of it will be brought to Richmond.-Richmond Dispatch.
