Aviator Smith in Accident

Lieutenant Frederick Smith, who had charge of the aviation field in Falmouth last summer, and Russell H. Leonard, a Fall River mill owner and summer resident- of Falmouth, narrowly escaped death when their airplane motor stopped and the plane fell one thousand feet, lodging in a tree. They were flying from Fall River to Taunton last Monday when the accident occurred. Their friends in Falmouth will be glad to learn that they escaped injury.
