THE WAR—APPEALS TO KRUGER—RESISTANCE HOPELESS—MRS BOTHA VISITS HIM
LONDON, Wednesday Night.
Mrs Botha, the wife of General Louis Botha, is about to pay a visit to Europe.
Her object in going there Is to inform Herr Kruger, the ex-President of the Transvaal, of the hopelessness of further resistance to the British.
She will also describe to him the terrible state to which the country has been brought by the effects of the long protracted war.
Mrs Botha also carries with her a pathetic letter from Mrs Kruger, In which she appeals to lier husband to put an end to the struggle.
