Cadets Moreno and Semmes, the former from Florida, and the latter from Alabama, have both resigned their appointments, and will leave West Point immediately for Montgomery. The latter young gentleman is a son of Commander Raphael Semmes, who resigned from the navy about a month ago. There are now no cadets at West Point from the seceded States.
