We see by the Intelligencer that the ultra whig members of Congress have held a Caucus in the People’s Senate Chamber, and appointed the 3d of May, 1844, at Baltimore, as the time and place for holding their National Convention to nominate candidates for President and Vice President.
Of course the People will obey their servants sent hither to make laws; of course the whole flock will follow these fat and plump bellwethers.
It is whispered that a full reply to the conflicting statements of the retired Clay Cabinet, is about to be published.
