RAILROAD ACCIDENTS. — On Thursday night one of the through freight trains on the Northern Central Railroad was thrown from the track near the Gunpowder bridge, about seventeen miles from Baltimore. Several cars were broken to pieces, but no one on the train was injured. The accident was caused by the breaking of one of the axles of the tender.

David Price, a brakesman of a freight train, on the same road, was injured on Thursday, by being caught between two cars, which he was coupling. He was taken to his home and received medical attention.

ARREST TOR RECEIVING STOLEN GOODS. — Yesterday detective police officers Gormon and Stevens arrested a man named John Wurtz, at №3 West Falls avenue, on the charge of receiving a gold watch, knowing the same to be stolen. He was taken before Justice Hiss, where he produced the watch, and was held to bail for a further hearing. The watch is an old-fashioned article, single-cased, and white face — attached to it is a gold chain. The owner can have it by proving property.
