Paris, Jan. 29. — King Ludwig is at present at the chateau of Hohenswanger, near Fussen, in the Bavarian Alps. King Ludwig no longer holds direct intercourse with anyone save his secretary. His majesty has not suffered any of his ministers to enter his cabinet for several years. Even his secretary is no longer privileged to speak to the king, but he must communicate his business in writing, and he receives his orders in the same manner. His majesty has, within the last few months, grown too august to hold verbal communication with anything earthly. He is never seen by his subjects. He has assumed a legendary rather than a real existence.
